Inspect Motors
Airconditioning motors should be inspected yearly or whenever the system is serviced.
Items to check for on motors:
- Some motors require a few drops of oil yearly
- The motor needs to have the amp draw checked
- The blower wheel should also be checked
- Air holes on motors should be free of lint (will overheat)
- The motor capacitor should be checked
Your airconditioner's motor can last for years if properly serviced yearly.
